Louis Poulsen AJ OXFORD, 410 mm, opal glass – with fixed desk support
Designer Arne Jacobsen
Louis Poulsen’s AJ Oxford table lamp was designed by Danish architect Arne Jacobsen in the 1960s. It was originally created for St Catherine’s College, the largest college of the University of Oxford, as part of Jacobsen’s “Gesamtkunstwerk” (total artwork) on the college’s architecture and interiors in 1962. This modernist yet inspired design to tradition marked Jacobsen’s major international breakthrough.
